Since mid-April, Lufthansa, along with three other airlines of the Lufthansa Group – Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings – have been operating Airbus A320s as flying ambassadors bearing the message “Yes to Europe”. This initiative is a part of Lufthansa Group’s effort to promote unity, freedom, and peace across Europe, especially in light of the upcoming EU elections scheduled from the 6th to the 9th of June, 2024, with Germany casting its votes on the 9th.

Flights from Frankfurt to Berlin on 5 and 6 June. To commemorate the beginning of the Berlin International Airshow (ILA) in Berlin, Lufthansa will be deploying its “European aircraft” to Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). The Airbus A320, adorned with the slogan “Yes to Europe,” will make thirteen flights between the capital’s airport and Lufthansa’s hub in Frankfurt on the 5th and 6th of June 2024.
Since mid-April, four Airbus A320s from Lufthansa Group Airlines have been serving as ambassadors for the European idea. Alongside Lufthansa, the aircraft belonging to Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings also feature the prominent “Yes to Europe” slogan on their fuselage. Through this initiative, the Lufthansa Group is making a visible statement in support of a united, free, and peaceful Europe and encouraging participation in the EU elections.
The European Parliament elections are scheduled to take place from the 6th to the 9th of June 2024. In Germany, citizens are being urged to cast their votes on June 9th.
Lufthansa Debuts Non-Stop Seattle-Munich Service, Expanding Its Reach in North America
In a significant boost to its North American operations, Lufthansa has introduced a new non-stop flight route connecting Seattle with Munich, utilizing the eco-friendly Airbus A350-900. This addition enhances the airline’s service portfolio, which already includes a daily flight from Seattle to Frankfurt.
The service, designated as flight LH488, takes off from Munich (MUC) at 3:35 pm, landing at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) at 4:59 pm. The return journey, flight LH489, departs Seattle at 6:50 pm, reaching Munich at 1:45 pm the next day, adhering to local times. Scheduled to fly on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, this route aims to provide passengers with more flexibility and convenience.
Dirk Janzen, Vice President Passenger Sales, The Americas, at Lufthansa Group Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about the launch. He highlighted the importance of the United States as a key market and underscored the new route’s role in enhancing connections and economic relations between Germany and the U.S. West Coast.
